Hastings' Artist Show
November 8-17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily - LeDuc Historic Estate
Admission - FREE

Classic paintings, raku pottery, blown glass, fine needlework, traditional and infrared photography, and more will all be represented in the second annual Hastings Artists Show and Sale at the LeDuc Historic Estate. Join the Dakota County Historical Society this November as hundreds of pieces of gallery-quality original artwork are made available for sale by local artists. Set in the most beautiful home in Hastings, the show and sale is free to view and provides the perfect opportunity for gift givers seeking that perfect gift for the holidays.

Artists participating in 2008 include: Mel Agen, wood carver, Char Bauer, glassblowing; Audrey Ceran, painting (oils); David Cook, contemporary artist; Andy Evansen, painting (watercolor); Andy Hill, photography; Dodie & Emily Hogstad, Victorian reproductions; Lois Ireland-Zwettler, painting; Pauline Johanik, basketry; Art Nordstrom, pottery (raku); Al Peterson, photography; Janis Sprick, felted wool; Al Todnem, wood carver.

Tales of the Road Tea with Cathy Wurzer
December 7, 1 & 3 p.m. - LeDuc Historic Estate
Admission - $24.95, all ages

Enjoy a 3-course tea with Cathy Wurzer on Sunday, December 7. Cathy will introduce her new book and documentary film, Tales of the Road: Highway 61, published by the Minnesota Historical Society Press and Twin Cities Public Television, respectively. Guests will have an opportunity to talk with Cathy, view a preview of the film, and purchase a signed copy of the book at a 20% discount.
