Join Lois Mackin and the Dakota County Historical Society at the Sibley Historic Site for a presentation on "Using the Online Resources of the DAR for Your Genealogy." The Daughters of the American Revolution's online Genealogical Research System is a premier resource for researching Revolutionary ancestors, whether you are interested in DAR membership or not. Learn what is available and how you can use it to enhance your research.

Lois Ambromitis Mackin, Ph.D., is a professional genealogist focusing on American and English research. Lois writes for several genealogical publications and teachers about genealogical records and methods, including DNA. She also volunteers for several genealogical and lineage societies and is past president of the North Star chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

The presentation will be located in the DuPuis House at the Sibley Historic Site.

As we finalize our merger with the Dakota County Genealogical Society, we will increase the number of genealogy related programs. We will host four "Genealogy Presentations" throughout the year, taking place in February, March, September and October.
