Location: Lawshe Memorial Museum
Join the Dakota County Historical Society and the South St. Paul Public Library for a Children's Genealogy Workshop! The program is best suited for children ages 10 - 17.
During the Children's Workshop, attendees will learn how they can do their own family's genealogy. Historians and experienced genealogists will be on-site to introduce genealogy and how each child can get started in their own research. If your child already has experience, they are welcome to attend and get more insights and tips on how to delve deeper into their research.
The event will begin with an introduction to genealogy, the resources available to them at the Lawshe Museum and the South St. Paul Public Library. After an introduction, each child will get a book with genealogy tips, as well as the chance to start, or continue, their own family research.
This event is a partnership with the South St. Paul Public Library and registration is being conducted through their online system. Space is limited, so click here to register. Registration officially opens on July 3, 2019.
