Did you know that history and social media can go hand in hand? In today's day and age social media is a primary source of communication for many, including businesses and historic sites. This program will teach you about social media literacy, citizenship, responsibility, and how historic sites can use social media platforms for outreach, You will also have the opportunity to help us create a Facebook page for William LeDuc. Our intention is for it to go live and you get to help us create some content for its posts! This is a unique way to learn about William LeDuc and the use of Social Media within the history field.
This program is designed for students ages 13-17 and will aim to teach the importance of how you represent yourself on social media while also showcasing one of the other sides of the history field; staying relevant and reaching people through modern mediums.
