Join the Friends of the Sibley Historic Site as they host " Sibley and Ramsey: Rivals and Allies," presented by Jayne Becker.
"Sibley and Ramsey: Rivals & Allies" will follow Henry Sibley's and Alexander Ramsey's political and business careers and how they were intertwined for decades. First meeting in 1849, the political rivals, and at times allies, shaped the Minnesota political scene. Historian Jayne Becker will look at this unlikely alliance and discuss the intrigue, loyalties, and party politics of nineteenth century Minnesota.
