Help the LeDuc and North Star Paranormal Research celebrate black history month by watching a documentary about someone near and dear to our hearts, George Daniels.

NorthStar Paranormal Research has put together a wonderful documentary on the life of George Daniels titled: George Daniels Documentary, Life Story of George Daniels.

George Washington Daniels was born into slavery in Rome Georgia in 1831. He served in the Confederate Army during the civil war, escaping during battle and enlisting under the Union Army. He was mustered out of the war in 1865 and was employed by General William Gates LeDuc to work at his home in Hastings MN. George and his family moved to South Dakota where he farmed his own land and became a pillar in the community of White, SD

To celebrate this incredible man, the wonderful film, and Black History Month we will be hosting a film screening of the documentary in the Parlor of the LeDuc Historic Estate. Proceeds will go towards funding the expansion of our George Daniels exhibit in the carriage barn. There will be a small presentation and Q&A by NorthStar Paranormal to discuss the project.
