As part of the upcoming Semiquincentennial (250th) anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, we are offering an “America 250 Genealogy” series to help you uncover your family’s history. The series can be taken as a whole, or in individual sections. We will focus on different aspects of genealogy research and provide workshops where you can visit the museum to get help when and where needed. This series is in partnership with the Dakota County Historical Society, the Minnesota Genealogical Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Have you attended our previous presentations and attempted to give them a try, only to get stuck? Or are you an experienced genealogist that has hit a brick wall and would like assistance breaking through? Our December Genealogy Workshop is the perfect place for you to ask questions about how to get started, or find another suggestion on getting past your research hurdle.
To help you get answers to your questions that have you stuck, a panel of genealogists will be there to take your questions. Each attendee will get a chance to ask their question to the entire panel as they attempt to provide tips and tricks to get you through the brick wall, or issue that has you stuck.
Registration is not required for the event and we will try to answer as many questions as can, while giving all attendees the ability to ask at least one question to the panel.
