Mission:
The Friends of LeDuc and Historic Hastings preserve, interpret and promote the distinctive history of the LeDuc Estate and Hastings community.  We identify and encourage access to historical resources and knowledge, sponsor programs and events, raise funds, volunteer, and collaborate with like-minded organizations.  We believe that preserving the historic fabric of our community enhances its identity for current and future generations.

The Friend of LeDuc & Historic Hastings meet on the odd months at 7 p.m. at the LeDuc Historic Estate, unless otherwise noted. The monthly meetings consist of a business meeting and history presentation.

Upcoming Meetings and Events:

June 2, 2018 - Rhubarb Festival at the LeDuc Estate : 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The event will include free admissions to the grounds for outdoor activities, a bake sale and a Flea Market in the Simmons Shed. Tours of the LeDuc Estate will be available at normal hours and rates.

June 12, 2018 - Friends of LeDuc & Historic Hastings at Schaars Bluff : 7 p.m.

The Friends Meeting will consist of an organizational business meeting and special presentation by descendants of the Schaars. They will discuss the history of the family and show photos of the family. The meeting and presentation is free and open to the public.

August 14, 2018 - Friends of LeDuc & Historic Hastings at the LeDuc Estate : 7 p.m.

The Friends meeting will consist of an organizational business meeting and special presentation by Jeremy Jackson. He has conducted research on Rose Hill Cemetery in Nininger and will present on his findings. The meeting and presentation is free and open to the public.

October 9, 2018 - Friends of LeDuc & Historic Hastings Meeting at TBD : 7 p.m.

The Friends meeting will consist of an organizational business meeting and special presentation by Jim Sieben. He will share the findings regarding his great uncle, Louis Sieben, a World War I veteran. The meeting and presentation is free and open to the public.

December 11, 2018 - Friends of LeDuc & Historic Hastings Holiday Social at the LeDuc Estate : 7 p.m.

The Friends meeting is a special Holiday Social where members will provide appetizers and desserts, as well as music throughout the night. The event is free and open to the public.
